Lieutenant Brian Monte joined the Acushnet Fire / Rescue Department in 1994.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004 and is assigned to Engine Company #2 out of Station #1.  Lt. Monte is certified as a Firefighter Level I/II, Hazardous Materials Operations Level and Emergency Vehicle Operator--Advanced.  Lt. Monte also serves as a desk operator and has participated in numerous training programs offered by the National Firefighting Academy and the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.  Lt. Monte was born and raised in Acushnet where his father is a Sergeant with the Acushnet Police Department.
