George Pimental joined the Acushnet Fire Department in November 1973.  He was promoted first to Lieutenant in 1994 and then Captain in 2004.  Captain Pimental is assigned to the two Engine Companies operating from Station One.  Captain Pimental is RIT team certified, Hazardous Materials Operations Level certified and is a long serving member of the department's Rescue Squad.

Captain Pimental is joined on the department by his daughter and brother.  Many relatives of Captain Pimental's family have also served as members of the Acushnet Fire / Rescue Department.
